About Hazrat Dr. Shahid Avais

Dr. Shahid Avais is a spiritual Sufi sheikh in the Naqshbandi, Chishti, Qadri and Suhrawardy Sufi tradition. He is a retired professor of Pathological from Allama Iqbal Medical University. He acquired his Ilm-e-Deen degree from the renowned Jamia Ashrafia. He founded Academy of Arabic sciences (AAS) which provides pure and traditional knowledge of Islam to thousands of students. His love for Ilm-e-Deen is matchless. For the spread of Ilm-e-Deen he also sowed the seeds for Higher Islamic Literacy Movement (HILM) Institute which would impart Islamic knowledge to those who are busy in the daily grind of life. For children, Dr Shahid Avais opened a school that provides the students with modern education imbued with Islamic knowledge. The school is named as Shajar school. Apart from this he is also spearheading Fatima Institute and School of spiritual sciences (SOSS) for women. Dr. Shahid Avais has endowed his life for the spread of ilm-e-Deen. Under his mentorship many organizations are working for the welfare of people of Pakistan. Fikr-e-khalq foundation (FKF) is carrying a “Monthly Rashaan” program under which thousands of deserving families are provided with monthly rashaan. FKF is also running a program for providing dowry to deserving women about to be married. Another program under FKF is to provide financial support to the people who need medical assistance. Also a program is initiated to provide free of cost education to deserving students. Dr. Shahid Avais’s vision is to not only spread the knowledge of Islam but also to uplift the society morally and economically.
